What We Believe

Statement of Faith

The Bible & Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. The Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and life. The Word of God is the direct revelation of the will of God for all men for all time. God's Word contains no errors and was divinely preserved throughout history.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 • 1 Thessalonians 2:13 • Exodus 24:4 • 2 Peter 1:20-21

The One True God

We believe in one God who revealed Himself through scripture as the eternal Godhead (The Holy Trinity). He revealed Himself as one God, existing in three persons — The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit — distinguishable yet unified in essence and attributes.

Deuteronomy 6:4 • Isaiah 43:10-11 • Matthew 28:19 • Luke 3:22

The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus is the second person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent with the Father and the Holy Spirit. We affirm His virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous works, substitutionary atonement on the cross, bodily resurrection, and exaltation to the right hand of the Father.

Matthew 1:23 • Hebrews 7:26 • 1 Corinthians 15:3 • Philippians 2:9-11

The Holy Spirit & Baptism

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. His earthly ministry includes conviction of sin and empowerment of believers. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God, received subsequent to salvation. The initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

Matthew 3:11 • John 14:16-17 • Acts 2 • Acts 19 • Acts 1:8 • Galatians 5:22-26

The Fall of Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God but through voluntary transgression fell from perfection. As a result, all of humanity has inherited a sinful nature, and both physical and spiritual death have passed upon all people.

Genesis 1:26-27 • Genesis 2:17 • Romans 5:12-19

The Redemption of Man

We believe that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, producing the fruit of a transformed life and holiness.

Luke 24:47 • John 3:3 • Romans 10:13-15 • Ephesians 2:8

Ordinances of the Church

We believe in water baptism by immersion and the observance of Communion (the Lord's Supper), both established by Christ as ongoing ordinances for believers — symbolizing our identification with Jesus and remembrance of His sacrifice.

Matthew 28:19 • 1 Peter 3:21 • Luke 22:7-20 • 1 Corinthians 11:17-30

Additional Works of the Atonement

We believe that the atonement of Christ provides redemption from sickness, disease, poverty, and lack. This encompasses divine healing and prosperity through faithful stewardship, tithing, and offerings.

Malachi 3:10 • 3 John 1:2 • Isaiah 53:5 • 1 Peter 2:24
